*Kendrick Lamar used a Bill Withers song in his 2009 track, “I Do This,” but allegedly without permission. And now the owners of the copyright want to be compensated, reports TMZ.

Mattie Music Group, which says it owns the rights to Withers’ 1975 song “Don’t You Want To Stay,” has sued the Compton rapper claiming Lamar’s “I Do This” track “consists of nothing more than new rap and hip hop lyrics set to the existing music of “Don’t You Want To Stay.”

MMG is suing for damages and wants Kendrick to stop using the Withers track.
