*Dang Wendell, what heck is going on?
According to TMZ, actor Wendell Pierce, who’s probably best known for his stint on HBO’s legendary series “The Wire” and recently HBO’s “Confirmation” as Clarence Thomas, was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting a woman supporting Bernie Sanders.
Sources at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta say Pierce was speaking with with the woman and her boyfriend at around 3:30 AM. The talk turned political and the actor, who is in Hillary Clinton’s camp as a supporter, couldn’t handle it when the woman made it clear she was feelin’ the Bern’.

At that point Pierce reportedly became enraged, pushed the boyfriend and then went after his girlfriend … grabbing her hair and smacking her in the head.
According to TMZ, the couple retreated to their room at the hotel where they called security who contacted the police.
Pierce — who is in Atlanta to film a movie — was arrested and booked for battery before posting a $1,000 bond and being released.
