*Arsenio Hall will return to television this summer as the host of ABC’s upcoming series “Greatest Hits,” an unscripted effort that features “iconic artists and current hitmakers” performing memorable tunes from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
The network announced Wednesday it has ordered six episodes to premiere on June 30 at 9 p.m., according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show will feature special solo performances, never-before-seen duets and tributes.
Country singer Kelsea Ballerini is Hall’s co-host. She received Billboard’s Rising Star Award last year and most recently appeared as herself on ABC’s country music drama “Nashville.”
From AEG Ehrlich Ventures, Greatest Hits will be executive produced by Ken Ehrlich, James McKinlay and Raj Kapoor. Leon Knoles will direct, and David Wild will write and produce.
