*Jamie Foxx plays a cop trying to rescue his kidnapped son in the upcoming film “Sleepless,” which today got an opening date of Feb. 24, 2017.
Foxx plays undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.
Michelle Monaghan plays the female lead in the Open Road Films project.
The film also stars Gabrielle Union, rapper T.I., Dermot Mulroney, Scoot McNairy and David Harbour.
The picture is directed by Baran Bo Odar and is written by Andrea Berloff.
