*Whoopi Goldberg is said to be “fed up” with “The View” and ready to bounce when her contract ends in the coming weeks, according to TheWrap.
“Whoopi has told those close to her she will exit the show,” said one daytime TV veteran, who spoke with TheWrap on the condition of anonymity.
Goldberg, 60, is in talks with ABC about extending her contract, which expires at the end of this season. She’s been on the show since 2007.
Threatening departure is a longstanding tactic used to increase bargaining leverage. According to TheWrap, ABC News appears open to an agreement.
“We want her back and are trying to make that happen,” said a source close to the show.
