*Butt-naked Donald Trump statues mysteriously appeared on street corners in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle, and New York City overnight, with a plaque at the bottom that read: “The Emperor Has No Balls.”
According to The Washington Post, the anarchist collective INDECLINE is behind the cross-country stunt. Their inscription winks at the Hans Christian Andersen tale about two tailors who promise a narcissistic emperor a new suit that is invisible only to those who are unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent. When the Emperor struts before his subjects sporting his new gear, folks are too afraid to say that they don’t see any clothes — until a child shouts, “But he isn’t wearing anything at all!”
An anonymous spokesperson from INDECLINE told the Post, “like it or not, Trump is a larger-than-life figure in world culture at the moment. Looking back in history, that’s how those figures were memorialized and idolized in their time — with statues.”
The nude Trump likenesses were complete with peach-colored skin, a protruding belly, the inexplicable hair and microscopic genitalia.
At a press conference Thursday, Mayor Bill de Blasio was asked about the Naked Trump that popped up in New York’s Union Square.
“That is a frightening thought,” he said. “When he’s wearing clothes I don’t like him.”
