*Michelle Obama visited “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday to discuss her Let Girls Learn initiative, but not before spending some time in the host’s cool “blanket fort” of Colbert’s childhood.

Their fort conversation went deep.

“If you got stuck on a desert island with one famous person, who’d you pick?” asked Obama.

Colbert immediately chose the president and asked, “How about you?”

Beyonce,” Obama said.

Colbert had a plate of sweets in front of him, while the first lady snacked on baby carrots.

“Do you know that if you eat too many carrots, you turn orange? And if you turn really orange, you have to start saying crazy things and run for president,” said Colbert.

Obama eventually made her way to the desk for more formal chat. But first things first…Colbert wanted to know what her friend Beyonce is really like.

“You shouldn’t look her in the eye,” Obama joked, before adding, “She’s a sweetheart. I mean she’s smart, she’s creative, she’s a great mother, she loves her family. She’s just a low-key lady.”

Discussing her husband, she said that he is able to get out of work mode when with the kids at the dinner table, where he is “really into gossip…because he doesn’t have a life,” Obama joked.  She  then broke into an impression of POTUS at the table whenever daughter Malia asks about his day.

“Sasha and I are like, ‘Oh God no, don’t get him started. He’s like, ‘Well, I’m glad you asked that,” FLOTUS said, imitating her husband. “‘Let me just answer that in three points. One…’, and then, 1-a and b. And Sasha and I are like, ugggghhhhh!”

Colbert asked her what it would be like to leave the White House.

“It’s definitely bittersweet,” she said, before adding, “but I’ve made my kids start packing their rooms already.”

Colbert brought out the Internet-breaking photo of Michelle and Barack in the latest issue of Essence.

“That’s me and my boo!” FLOTUS said, looking at the pic with pride. She added: “Barack is horrible in photo shoots, and I hate doing photo shoots with him, so I’m sure right there I was saying, “Would you just be patient? And don’t rush the photographer.”

Colbert asked if she was sympathetic to potential first ladies like Melania Trump, mentioning her convention speech that was accused of being plagiarized from one of her own addresses.

Obama deadpanned: “Yeah, that was tough.”
