*Mary J. Blige has asked a judge to rule that the prenup with her estranged husband is valid, but his lawyer is calling the doc “unenforceable.”

The 45-year-old filed for divorce from Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs in July citing irreconcilable differences after 12 years of marriage. Now, she’s determined to make sure he abide by their prenuptial agreement.

The couple signed their agreement on December 5, 2003, two days before they wed. According to TMZ, the singer is concerned that an attorney for Isaacs, who is also her manager, has suggested that the prenup is ‘immensely invalid, unenforceable and unconscionable.’

Mary maintains that the agreement is rock solid. In her divorce filing, she also asked the judge not to grant Isaacs any spousal support.

Pam Grier TCA

Meanwhile, actress Pam Grier and opera soprano Jessye Norman are among the recipients of Harvard University’s 2016 W.E.B. Du Bois medals, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to African and African American history and culture.

Grier was the queen of 1970’s blaxploitation films — best known for starring in films like “Coffy,” and “Foxy Brown.” She also played the title role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown.” Her 70’s films paved the way for action heroines of color.

The 2016 Harvard University recipients also include rapper MC Lyte, and past recipients of the medal include Muhammad Ali, Oprah Winfrey and Toni Morrison. The awards are presented by the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University. Grier and Norman will be honored on Oct. 6 during the fourth annual Hutchins Center Honors.

In related news, Pam Grier has signed on to appear opposite Cybill Shepherd and James Brolin in the dramatic comedy “Rose,” written and directed by Rod McCall. Deadline reports that the story “follows Rose (Shepherd), a recently disabled and widowed woman with a short time to live, taking a solo road trip through the “land of enchantment” in an effort to reconcile with her estranged son and make her peace with life. Along the way, she fends off surly predators, makes new friends, and finds love.”

Filming begins this month in New Mexico.
