*There hasn’t been any fight this year that’s been as much awaited for than this one, folks. And quite frankly, there’s no better way to close out a period in boxing this year than to have this one go down.
Both these guys, Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward, are dangerous and undefeated and are sure to bring some excitement to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
What’s really ironic is the fact that they both have identical ring records with Kovalev who happens to be right now the recognized universal light heavyweight champion coming into this one with 30 wins 0 losses and 1 draw with 26 coming by way of knockout.
Ward on the other hand, has an unblemished ring record of 30 wins and 0 losses with 15 coming by way of knockout.
The big difference in these two gladiators is that Kovalev – who is nicknamed “The Krusher” – has a lot more knockouts than Ward who in the opinion of most ring observers, is one of the most skillful fighters in boxing today.
The excitement is definitely in the air in Las Vegas which is something that we haven’t seen since Mayweather got together with Pacquiao.
They both tipped the scale at the MGM Grand for the weight-in at 175 lbs each and what’s really strange is Kovalev is coming into this one as the underdog, so if you’re a betting person you put your money on him.
But if you like Ward well, as I always say we’ll see what happens.
You really don’t want to miss this folks. It’ll all be telecast live on HBO pay per view from the T-Mobile Arena in fabulous Las Vegas Saturday night (11-19-16).
