*Actor Bryan Cranston will star as the talking head Zordon when the “Power Rangers” reboot opens in theaters across America next week. He currently lends his voice to the character Titanium Rex for Crackle’s stop motion-animated comedy series “SuperMansion,” now in its second season.

Cranston also serves as an executive producer on the series, alongside creators Zeb Wells and Matthew Senreich. The second season follows the adventures of Titanium Rex as he struggles to live with and fight alongside the Millennial-aged, often lackadaisical members of The League of Freedom.

“It’s really about storytelling,” Cranston said during the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour when asked about the appeal of tackling a project like this and the creative freedom it allows.

“We look at these characters, and I really don’t approach it any differently than I would live action.  And when I first read the first script, I thought this is really something that would be funny but also relatable. You have a guy who is struggling to hold onto relevancy in his life and wanting to still be important to the world and proud of his job as, you know, a superhero, fighting crime.  He wants to continue that.  And that’s, I think, an underlying relatable theme in all aspects of it with all of the characters and the very specific different characteristics that they were able to draw up.  It’s just a lot of fun, and you don’t have to wear makeup or anything like that.”

Cranston is known for his Emmy-award winning portrayal of Walter White on the AMC crime drama “Breaking Bad.” The 2015 film “Trumbo” received widespread acclaim and Bryan was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. For “SuperMansion,” he wanted to step behind the camera because he was looking “to expand and try things as a producer.”

“I enjoy supporting other writers and their visions,” he said.

EUR/Electronic Urban Report sat down with Cranston during TCA and touched on how he embeds his vivid personality into Titanium Rex, and how it compares to his approach with live action.

“It’s similar to doing live action in the sense that, when an actor takes on a character it’s a marriage of words and ideas to what the actor’s sense ability is, right? And you kind of find where that is, and there are times when I’m directed to punch certain things, and I go “Oh yeah, I see. You want him more upset at this point”… and I have to figure out why. And then there are times when I bring in my own personality. It doesn’t matter if it’s animation or live action. You’re still developing a character and you wanna be consistent with that character and you’re contributing to the storylines. It’s as engaging as doing live action development.”

On whether or not “Breaking Bad” super-fans (like we are) will ever see Walter White make an appearance on the hit AMC spinoff drama “Better Call Saul,” Cranston told us, “I don’t know, you could. I actually think it’d be fun but I have not been approached by it.”

“I know Vince wouldn’t do anything that would damage the overall brand that he’s worked so hard to develop on a stunt cast kind of thing. And then I think… what if it’s just a brush by? You know… if it’s just two guys in market:

“Are those ripe?”

“I don’t know.”

And we don’t even register that we knew each other before we see each other again. That’s life. It’s actually very honest. This happens. So the bottom line is, I would do it in a second. If Vince wanted me to be on the show, I’d be on the show.”
