Charlamagne Tha God on Why He & ‘Cruel’ Wendy Williams Are No Longer Cool

Charlamagne Tha God

*Charlamagne Tha God is about to drop a memoir, in which he dishes on why he and daytime talk show host Wendy Williams are no longer cool.

While it’s not new news that Charlamagne and Wendy aren’t the best of friends anymore, what’s unknown is the exact cause of their fall out.

Now, nine years after the two hit the Philadelphia airwaves together, Charlamagne is ready to spill the tea on what happened between them. In his upcoming memoir “Black Privilege,” he reveals he and Williams are no longer cool because of a bad business deal (via RadarOnline).

According to Charlamagne, after he lost his gig with Wendy, he was hoping to find a new gig in the Philadelphia area and Wendy’s husband Kevin was going to help him do that. The book alleges that Kevin demanded a potential employer to pay him $350,000/yr as opposed to their initial offer of $70,000/yr.

Kevin was always “extremely aggressive in trying to get more money out of situations”…. Charlamagne claims.

“He’d yell at and often threaten people till he got what he wanted,” he wrote in the book.

Charlamagne said he didn’t want to do business that way, so he told Kevin he was going to approach the company himself and accept $75,000. The news sent Kevin into a rage, and he texted Charlamagne back saying, “I’m not f*cking with you anymore. You did some foul sh*t. Lose my number.”

The Power 105 radio host also claims both Wendy and Kevin were very nasty to their staff.

“One thing I learned not to do from watching her was to treat the people who work for you poorly. Wendy and Kev could be very cruel to the people who worked under them,” he wrote.

The drama between Kevin and Charlamagne naturally caused tension between him and Wendy… and the two eventually stopped speaking.

“As for Wendy, she’s the ultimate ride-or-die chick,” he said. “I know she feels she has to have her husband’s back and I have to respect that.”

“Black Privilege” is expected to drop on April 18th.
