BALTIMORE – Families, students, professionals and residents of the Baltimore-Washington area are invited to attend the NAACP Experience taking place Saturday, July 22 through Tuesday, July 25.

Housed in an exhibit hall at the Baltimore Convention Center, partners, companies, civic organizations, and vendors will display their products and services to the local community. Co-sponsored by McDonald’s, Hyundai, and Geico, this family-friendly event is open to children ages 18 and under who can take home backpacks filled with goodies.  Adults will have the chance to win prizes and freebies.  NAACP Experience Free and Open to the Public

Attendees can come to the Experience – shopping bag in hand – to enjoy the retail expo, where small business owners from all over the country set up booths to showcase and sell their products. Ranging from beauty, skincare, and fashion retailers to fine art and high-end jewelry shops, many of businesses onsite will be local and black-owned.

The author’s pavilion, celebrating its 10th year at the Experience, will take place alongside the retail expo at the exhibit hall. The pavilion will host multiple panels moderated by acclaimed writers and celebrities. Readers will have the chance to buy books and get them signed by the author.

Free Health Screenings and More

Experience-goers can take advantage of the free activities offered inside the Health Pavilion. Organizations will be onsite to provide HIV testing, blood pressure, and glucose screenings at no cost. Visitors of the pavilion can also receive complimentary massages from licensed therapists along with tips on how to improve their health and wellness.

On Tuesday, July 25th, a free Diversity Career Fair will be held from 12p.m. to 6p.m. Local professionals and students are encouraged to bring in their resumes and apply onsite to jobs in the technology, finance, education, insurance, sales, government, non-profit, retail, food service, health, and other industries.
