*Let’s all send up a big cheer for DMX. It looks like he’s getting his act together. If you haven’t heard the X Man is in rehab and his lawyer, Murray Richman, says he’s already packed on 40 lbs.
According to Richman, X had been nothing but skin and bones before starting treatment in late August at a New England facility.
Richman says the program is almost complete, but he thinks it would be good for DMX to stay another 30 days since he’s been responding so well. In fact, it’s going so well that the people in charge at the facility are even letting him take day trips with a friend to a nearby town.
As we reported, a judge signed off on rehab after DMX said his house arrest for tax evasion wasn’t helping him improve. Attorney Richmond says they’ll deal with the court case once DMX has successfully finished treatment.

Here’s a story about new rap sensation, Cardi B that we’re not sure what to make of.
She claims an NYC police officer put her in a choke hold and slammed her against her own car on Tuesday.
TMZ is reporting that sources connected to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper say the incident went down around 6 PM near Columbus Circle. Cardi was riding in her new Bentley SUV when another driver hit her.
We’re told Cardi wasn’t driving, but she and a cousin — who was also in the Bentley — got out and started arguing with the other driver, and that’s when the NYPD officer got involved. We’re told the officer, who Cardi says was white, grabbed her with his arms around her neck and pinned her against the Bentley.
Once everyone involved calmed down, we’re told the cop let Cardi go … and left the accident scene without taking a report or issuing any citations. Moments later she angrily tweeted about the incident and blasted cops for not knowing “how to do they job F**K.”
Interestingly, Cardi deleted her tweet after a few minutes. However, her sister also posted about it, and later deleted. As far as the choke hold injuring her, that didn’t happen and curiously she isn’t making any legal claims against the cop or the NYPD.

Quite frankly, there’s something fishy about Cardi B’s story and not too surprisingly, the NYPD is speaking out about the alleged event.
TMZ spoke to Assistant Commissioner Peter Donald, who says the police department investigated the rapper’s allegation, but it was unable to find proof of the incident.
Donald says commanders in each precinct near Columbus Circle reviewed records and surveillance footage, but nothing surfaced that could support her claim.
The department said that Cardi has refused to offer more details, causing them to doubt the validity of her claim.
C’mon Cardi, you need to show receipts ’cause you lookin’ shady right about now. 🙁
