*OJ Simpson‘s expected release from a Nevada prison after 9 years is just days away and everyone wants to know where he plans to call home. Well, where ever The Juice has in mind, Florida wants him to know that he’s NOT welcome there.

But it appears that the Sunshine State is exactly where Simpson is headed when he is released on Monday by Nevada correctional authorities after winning his parole back in July.

Tom Scotto, a close friend of Simpson, who lives in Naples, Florida, has offered his home, reports the NY Post. Scotto, however, is refusing to comment on the situation.

“He’s going to Florida,” Simpson’s attorney Malcolm LaVergne said. “There’s no doubt he’s going to Florida.”

But, like we said up top, the state attorney general doesn’t want Simpson. Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter Friday to the Florida Department of Corrections, urging it to tell Nevada officials that Florida objects to Simpson serving his parole in the southern state.

“Floridians are well aware of Mr. Simpson’s background, his wanton disregard for the lives of others, and of his scofflaw attitude with respect to the heinous acts for which he has been found civilly liable,” Bondi said in the letter. “Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal.”

Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles. But he was found liable for their deaths in a civil case in 1997 and ordered to pay the victims’ families $33.5 million. In 2008 Simpson however, was convicted of a Las Vegas hotel room robbery (of his own merchandise) and was given a 33 year sentence, but was paroled after 9 years.

Florida corrections officials have said in the past that they must accept the transfer if Nevada’s request meets the established criteria. A Florida corrections spokeswoman, Ashley Cook, said her agency has not received a transfer request or documents about Simpson.

He becomes eligible for release Sunday (09-01-17), but LaVergne said he doesn’t know where or when it will happen. He expects to learn more when Simpson notifies him that he is being moved from Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada.

By the way, we’re also hearing that the California State Parole Board got wind Simpson’s plan to relocate to his home state. Sources connected to the situation tell The Blast that frustrated Cali officials contacted Nevada’s parole board, demanding to know his relocation plan.

But, as of yet, the California board hasn’t received the proper paperwork required from Simpson if he wishes to move. Forms aside, there is obviously the issue of Simpson going back to the state where Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered — providing him extra police protection would be costly and controversial.
