*It’s all love-love surrounding Serena Williams today, with news that she has just given birth to a baby girl.
The tennis champ’s daughter with fiancé Alexis Ohanian made her arrival on Friday St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
“Mom and baby doing well,” WPBF-25 news producer Chris Shepherd announced on Twitter.
The new mom was induced on Thursday night, according to local station CBS 12.
Meanwhile, the baby news was announced just as Serena’s sister Venus was taking center court at Arthur Ashe Stadium for her third round U.S. Open match against Greece’s Maria Sakkari.
During a brief pre-match interview, Venus maintained her game face and said of becoming an auntie again, “Obviously I’m super excited. Words can’t describe.”
