Vegas Terrorist Stephen Paddock Targeted Concerts Attended By Malia Obama, Chance the Rapper

Lollapalooza

*The American-born white male terrorist who murdered 59 people at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday, Oct. 1, reportedly booked hotel rooms overlooking several major music festivals, including Lollapalooza in Chicago and Chance the Rapper’s Vegas concert in September.

Stephen Paddock rented a room in August at Chicago’s downtown Blackstone Hotel, but never checked in. The hotel overlooks Grant Park where the Lollapalooza festival is held each year. Malia Obama attended the event this year, which usually attracts hundreds of thousands of people.

The gunman also tried to book rooms at the luxurious Ogden in Las Vegas, which overlooked the Life is Beautiful open-air festival where Chance the Rapper performed from September 22-24.

A source revealed to CBS the crazed mass murderer requested specific rooms overlooking the Life is Beautiful concerts but those rooms were unavailable.

The same week that the Life is Beautiful event was set to go down, Paddock sent his live-in girlfriend, Marilou Danley, home to the Philippines to “spare her life,” according to her sisters.

Clark County, Nev., Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Wednesday that it’s only logical to “make the assumption” that Paddock had “some help at some point” in pulling off Sunday’s massacre.

As evidence, Lombardo pointed to Paddock’s huge arsenal and his meticulous planning, which included an escape plan.

“What we know is Stephen Paddock is a man who spent decades acquiring weapons and ammo and living a secret life, much of which will never be fully understood,” the sheriff said.

Authorities are still trying to figure out a motive.

“Anything that would indicate this individual’s trigger point, that would cause him to do such harm, we haven’t understood it yet,” Lombardo told reporters. “Don’t you think the concealment of his history of his life was well thought out?”

According to the Associated Press, a thorough analysis of “Paddock’s computer, cellphone and other electronic devices, have turned up no obvious motive, no clear connection to extremists or outward display of mental illness.”
