*Barack Obama and Prince Harry have become close friends after meeting at the Invictus Games but their relationship has reportedly sparked a diplomatic crisis over invitations to his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle.

As previously reported, a senior government source told The Sun: “Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it’s causing a lot of nervousness. Trump could react very badly if the Obamas get to a royal wedding before he has had a chance to meet the Queen.”

During his guest-editing gig Wednesday for BBC Radio 4’s “Today,” Harry was asked if his close relationship with Obama would in fact lead to a wedding invite.

Harry answered: “We haven’t put the invites and guest list together yet, so who knows whether he is going to be invited or not. Wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise.”
