*Recreational marijuana is legal in California as of January 1, 2018, and Jack in the Box is preparing to cash in by teaming up with perhaps the state’s best known weed smoker.

Last week, the fast food chain announced that it’s teaming up with Snoop Dogg’s cannabis culture site Merry Jane to introduce a combo meal marketed toward the bud community.

The “Merry Munchie Meal” will be available Jan. 1 at three franchise locations in California, offering a smorgasbord of greasy items ― chicken strips, two tacos, five churros, french fries, onion rings and a small drink ― to alleviate the need to make a choice while high.

“We are about welcoming all of our guests, no matter what they’re craving or why they’re craving it,” chief marketing officer Iwona Alter told Bloomberg.

Of course the meal will cost $4.20, a number very familiar to cannabis connoisseurs. The Munchie Meals will be branded with Merry Jane’s pot leaf logo.

While Jack in the Box has over 2,200 restaurants nationwide, only those states with legalized marijuana may get the Merry Munchie Meal.

Starting Jan. 1, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act goes into effect in California, allowing people 21 and older to possess an ounce of marijuana for recreational purposes.
