WATCH Sterling K. Brown Break Down After His Huge SAG Win + Bucks Fire Jason Kidd

*He’s been the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks since 2014, but now Jason Kidd is out. We’ll tell you all about it, shortly.

But first …

To say Sterling K. Brown was emotional after his big SAG Awards wins Sunday evening (01-21-18) would be putting it mildly.

As we reported, Brown, who stars on NBC’s “This Is Us,” made history when he became the first African-American to win a SAG for Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series. Less than 30 minutes later he was onstage with his NBC family accepting the award for Best Series.

A little while later, with tears of joy streaming down his face, Brown said “I’m so happy.” He stressed that his entire “This Is Us” cast and crew have been so supportive of him, and to share in the moment together was completely overwhelming.

Well, while Sterling K. Brown is winning, Jason Kidd has been losing. And it’s cost him his job.

Yep, he may be a future Hall of Famer, but he’s now an ex-Milwaukee Bucks head coach. Kidd was fired by the Bucks on Monday (01-22-18) because of a disappointing 23-22 start.

The Bucks entered the season with expectations of being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, especially with breakout star Giannis Antetokounmpo running the show.

If you recall, Kidd kicked the Brooklyn Nets to the curb in favor of the Bucks in the summer of 2014. In fact, reports of Kidd leaving for the Bucks became public even as Larry Drew was still coaching in Milwaukee.

Because they are said to be close, Antetokounmpo, selected to his second-straight All-Star Game last week, is reportedly “devastated” by Kidd’s ouster.

Kidd, 44, will be replaced on an interim basis by assistant Joe Prunty, according to ESPN.
