EUR Covers the HANAMI Automotive & Motorsport Awards Luncheon (WATCH)

*On Friday, February 16, Hanami partnered with the NBA All-Star Weekend activities and sponsored a luncheon to promote as well as educate African Americans in motorsports, the technicalities of luxury vehicles, and how to be economical when purchasing a luxury vehicle.

Using their unique slogan, “Cars, Culture, and Connections,” Hanami implements various marketing tools such as social media, direct marketing, and high profile events both on and off track.

The aim of Hanami is to bring people together in efforts to appreciate the beauty and science found behind every luxury automobile. Its goal is to “encourage a new generation of consumers, enthusiasts, engineers, drivers, and supporters of all things automotive while attracting and promoting a diverse market that has never been targeted before, especially women and minority groups.”

Since launching, Hanami has created educational ventures such as an After-School program. Hanami is also involved heavily in giving back to the community aiming to inspire boys and girls from across the country to discover the realm of engineering, automotive and motorsports.

“One of the big things I’m pushing through Hanami is to get your kids involved in cars because there’s not much diversity there,” says owner/creator/founder of Hanami, David Middleton.

EURweb’s Maurita Salkey got a chance to talk with David Middleton as well as other special guests during the luncheon. Check it out above.
