*If you’re still wondering about that Jill Scott video of her being drunk and blaming it on “FuFee,” the singer/actress wants you to know that her brief bout with inebriation wasn’t about her crumbling marriage.
She’s speaking out ’cause a lot folks, her fans in particular, are obviously concerned for her. After all, it wasn’t a good look for her as she was slurring her speech and her eyes were glazed.
On Wednesday Jilly From Philly took to Instagram to tell folk to chill with assuming she’s in a bad way because of her pending divorce.
“Ya’ll got to stop assuming EVERYTHING is about my divorce. Shit’s dumb. I’ve NEVER fit a box; no matter how big it is,” Scott wrote. “Let that thing go out cha mind because IT’S OUT OF MINE. #Bahleedat #heme???? Ok.”

In the video in question, the singer’s eyes are glazed and she’s heard slurring her words throughout. “It started off so good and then FuFee gave me some more to drink and I drank it,” Scott says. “Ooh, Saturday night.”
When folks saw that original video, a lot of them reacted by assuming she was drunk because of her divorce
“Just hope she has some genuine loving and supportive people in her corner. Love you @missjillscott hope you are fine, this is usually not you,” wrote one user, according to Atlanta Black Star.
“Stay off the Gram when you’re drunk Jill you’re too famous for this Cardi b shit you’re pulling,” said another.
On Sunday, Scott decided to clear the air on the drunken fiasco and posted an obligatory ‘morning after’ picture of herself. She also assured fans that she’s OK and that there’s no need to worry.
“The morning after. I’m blaming FU FE for another GREAT party. Relax sweethearts. I’m fine. Had too much of a great time,” the singer captioned along with crying emojis.
