*Steve Harvey recently admitted that when his daughter first started dating her now fiancé, Harvey had the young man followed, People reports.
The topic came up during a recent episode of his talk show, where he spoke with guests Garcelle Beauvais, Tracey Edmonds, Ta’Rhonda Jones, and Kim Gravel about dating someone their family didn’t approve of.
When Gravel asked Steve if it scared him that his daughter is dating a sports figure, he replied: “It did in the beginning. But then I had him followed.”
He added, “She didn’t know. She knows now. But when she found out she was upset.”

Harvey said he asked her, “What you trippin’ for? I’m trying to help you. You think he cute, I don’t. You find him attractive. The boy is just a boy to me.”
He went on to say that it’s important for all men to treat women with respect.
“If you’re not going to treat her the way I’ve treated her, and the way I’ve treated her mama, then you can’t have her,” he stated. “And then I’m going to fix it.”
Harvey’s youngest stepdaughter, Lori Harvey, got engaged last year to Memphis Depay, a professional soccer player from the Netherlands.
“Marjorie and I are proud to announce the engagement of our youngest daughter Lori to Memphis Depay,” Steve posted on Twitter, adding, “this young man is a good one! Congrats!”
Lori shared photos of the moment Depay proposed to her and she captioned one, “WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!”
