Today, we’ve got an EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes look at USA Network’s new hit series “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.” through the eyes of one it’s characters, LAPD Officer Darren Dupree played by Bokeem Woodbine.
If you haven’t seen the show, “Unsolved” is a true crime anthology television series based on the murders of rappers Tupac and Biggie Smalls in the late-1990s. It premiered February 27.
The 10-episode first season titled “The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.” chronicles the dual police investigations of Detective Greg Kading (Josh Duhamel) and Detective Russell Poole (Jimmi Simpson) into the controversial murders of two of the rap industry’s most legendary players, Tupac Shakur (Marcc Rose) and The Notorious B.I.G. (Wavyy Jonez).

“Unsolved” is a new limited series that draws from the experiences of Greg Kading and Russell Poole, two former LAPD detectives who led separate investigations into the murders of iconic rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. Based on Kading’s book “Murder Rap: The Untold Story of the Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations,” the series juxtaposes the two investigations alongside flashbacks into the relationship between Tupac and Biggie.
