*Perhaps inspired by a certain Oscar nominated film, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian Sr. bought four billboards along the I-10 freeway outside Palm Springs to express his love and admiration for the mother of his child.
Together, the billboards to his wife Serena Williams read: “Greatest Momma of All Time.”
“Olympia and I wanted to welcome her back to tennis,” Ohanian wrote on Instagram. “Designed them myself, with some help from Jr.”
Williams, 36, played her first competitive match at the Fed Cup last month following the birth of their daughter in September, and is due to make her return to the Women’s Tennis Association Tour at the BNP Paribas Open next week.
Ohanian’s grand gesture outside Palm Springs comes as the movie “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” competes for best picture at the Academy Awards this Sunday. In the film, McDormand’s character buys three billboards to attack local police after they failed to find her daughter’s rapist and killer. The three billboards read: “Raped while dying, and still no arrests? How come, Chief Willoughby?”
