*Donald Trump usually has a great deal to say about the “fake news” media and topics trending on social media, but the police killing of unarmed black man Stephon Clark in Sacramento is not a topic Trump cares to comment on.

Clark was shot and killed in his own backyard last Sunday after police fired at him 20 times. He was armed with nothing but a cell phone, which police mistook for a gun.

Sacramento police have released video of his killing, which has prompted widespread protests.

Meanwhile, Trump has made no public comment on Clark’s death.

At Monday’s press briefing, Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah was asked about the case.

I’m not aware of any comments that he has. I haven’t asked him about that directly,” said Shah (pictured immediately above.” Obviously, the president cares about any individual who’d be harmed through no fault of their own. I don’t know the specifics in that case and I don’t want to comment any further.”

Hmm. Why does the Trump administration have almost nothing to say about the high-profile police killing of an unarmed black man?

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Steph Curry were quick to throw their hats into the ring to buy the Carolina Panthers, but they may not find the success they hoped for.

Once Jerry Richardson decided to put the team up to be sold to the highest bidder, numbers reportedly soared. The hip-hop pioneer and NBA All-Star partnered with billionaire Michael Rubin, who was one of three potential owners to formally notify the NFL of an intent to purchase the team. But once the bid hit a rumored $2.5 billion, according to Bloomberg, Rubin backed out.

Rubin was to be the majority owner of the team, with Curry and Diddy owning smaller pieces of the franchise.

Neither Sean nor Steph have made any official public statements on their stance in the negotiations.

Yahoo! Sports notes: “There are still three active bids for the team, though details of each have not been made public. Bedrock Industries LP chairman and CEO Alan Kestenbaum, South Carolina billionaire Ben Navarro, and hedge-fund billionaire David Tepper have all made a bid on the team.”

But The Root points out “Once a winning group is selected, 75 percent of the NFL owners must approve of the sale, which is how the NFL remains a rich white man’s league.”
