*In a new Rolling Stone interview, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson seems to confirm that there is STILL some tension between him and Vin Diesel.

You recall how their egos clashed while working on the “Fast and Furious” and The Rock said he wasn’t sure if they’d work together for the ninth installment of the never-ending franchise.

One scene in the 2017 film starred both actors – but Johnson has revealed that his character Hobbs and Diesel’s character Toretto did not film any scenes at the same time.

When asked about this, The Rock explains: “That is correct. We were not in any scenes together. Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer.”

He continued: “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie-making and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that (clarity). Whether we work together again or not.”

He told Rolling Stone the pair had a confrontation on set last time.

Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” he said. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie making and collaborating.

“It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

The rumored tension between the pair was reported back in 2016, when Johnson posted on Instagram that he had issues with one of his castmates, calling him a “candyass.” [Click here to read the message.]

Johnson later confirmed his beef with Diesel and also stated that he may not appear in the next ‘Fast’ film. Meanwhile, he and Jason Statham have a spinoff due out in 2019.

“Right now I’m concentrating on making the [Fast and Furious Hobbs and Shaw] spinoff as good as it can be. I wish [Diesel] all the best and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”

Meanwhile, Johnson was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, and he opened up about buying his father a new car.

“You know, it’s just a tough life, the world of wrestling,” stated Johnson, speaking about his father Rocky Johnson, who was also a wrestler. “He had both his knees done, he just had his hip done. So here’s what’s funny out of this circumstance. He’s a tough guy, he had his hip done, and I get a call from him.”

Continuing with his story, he explains why he refers to himself as “the big, brown, bald, tattooed Oprah.”

Speaking as his father on the day he called up his son to ask him to buy a car, Johnson says, “‘Well, the doctor said that the bucket seats in my car would be much better if the car was a Cadillac Escalade.’”

“The crazy thing is I literally just got him a car last Christmas,” laughs Johnson. “He wanted this Ford Explorer and I’m like, ‘Yeah, no problem’ and he’s like, ‘Yeah, but the problem is the bucket seats in the Escalade.'”

“Here’s the thing, I have this problem,” reveals Johnson. “I do have an issue, right? It’s like a little sickness that I have where I really enjoy buying cars and giving cars to people. I’m the big, brown, bald, tattooed Oprah.”
