‘Feeding A Monster’ Premiere Brings Out Glynn Turman, Garrett Morris and Petri Byrd

“Feeding A Monster” is a new stage play written by author and domestic violence advocate Veronica Loving. She tells the true story of her 21-year marriage to a minor-league baseball player. Their marriage takes a turn when Loving discovers that the husband and father she loved was a sexual predator living in her home.

The play is based on her memoir of the same title that she co-wrote with her daughter Jazzmine Jackson.

The stage version is directed by actor Art Evans who is known or his many roles in films including  “Die Hard 2.” The cast for “Feeding A Monster” includes actress Conisha Wade, actor Doyin Domingo, actress Fayley Patrice, actor DeJuan Christopher, and actor Andre Jefferson.

EURweb was on the red carpet for the premiere and spoke with Loving and Jackson plus Petri Hawkins-Byrd (Judge Judy) Rahvaunia (ABC’s For The People), Garrett Morris (The Jamie Foxx Show; 2 Broke Girls),  Janeshia-Adams Ginyard (Black Panther) Glynn Turman (House of Lies; Queen Sugar) Ernest Thomas ( Everybody Hates Chris; What’s Happening) and Ralph Farquhar (Moesha; Married With Children) about how we can encourage victims to speak out and ensure those who are suffering in silence due to domestic assault have a voice.

Loving said her goal was to bring awareness and inspiration to those who might be going through it. It’s why she chose “Sexual assault awareness” month to debut it. The theme this year is “Embrace your voice,” which is what Loving is doing with her written words.

The play is currently running at the Hudson Theater 6539 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA., April 20 thru April 29, 2018. Ticket prices range from $25-$35.
