Meanwhile, Lamar’s album “DAMN.” is one half of a new dream mashup project from DJ Critical Hype. The album sprinkles Lamar’s lyrics from his fourth studio album with the iconic production of Dr. Dre on his first solo album, “The Chronic.”

“The DAMN. Chronic” also includes such mashups as Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” atop Dre’s “Forgot About Dre” instrumental, and Lamar’s “Compton State of Mind” track “Kendrick Lamar” over Dre’s “My Name Is” beat for Eminem.

“Kendrick has so many flows, voices, and styles, plus Dre beats are really incredible, so I figured it would be dope,” Hype told Pigeons and Planes. However, he added that the mixing process wasn’t easy since “Dre doesn’t have many slower beats.” But he’s happy with the end result.
