*Trey Songz will not have to face a felony criminal charge for the alleged assault of a woman, because the L.A. District Attorney has decided there’s not enough evidence to move forward, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources say the singer’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, gave multiple witness statements to LAPD that contradicted Andrea Buera’s account of events during NBA All-Star Weekend in February.

Holley also provided documents that called into question Buera’s credibility, TMZ reports.

The case will now be referred to the L.A. City Attorney, who will decide whether or not Songz with face a lesser charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Buera accused Songz of hitting her at a Hollywood Hills party because he was upset over her conversations with another man. Buera said the crooner beat her so badly that she vomited from a concussion. (View her March 2018 press conference above.)

Songz surrendered to authorities a few days later, but maintained he was “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
