*For some folks, losing their hair means it’s time to freak out! But even though that’s what’s happening to Jada Pinkett Smith, she’s taking it all in stride.
It was on Monday that Jada made known her predicament, saying alopecia was causing significant hair loss. She says her balding is the reason she’s been wearing so many turbans in public lately.
“Well, I’ve been having issues with hair loss,” she said to her mom (Adrienne Banfield-Jones) and daughter, Willow on her Facebook show, “Red Table Talk” show on Facebook. “And it was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day … and just hands full of hair. I’m like, Oh my God, I’m going bald.”
She added …
“It was one of those times in my life when I was literally shaking with fear. ”

Now, she says she keeps her hair short, and plans to keep it that way.
Jada says doctors and specialists have not been able to diagnose what’s causing the hair loss, but she adds … her friends think it’s stress.

*In relates news, on the second episode of “Red Table Talk,” Willow Smith opened up about her battle with depression in her early childhood.
Joined by her mother Jada Pinkett Smith, and grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Jones, Willow stunned them both when she disclosed something she had never shared with her family.
“I would have to say … honestly, I feel like I lost my sanity at one point,” the 17-year-old singer and model said. “It was after that whole ‘Whip My Hair’ thing and I just had stopped doing singing lessons and I was kind of like, just in this gray area of, ‘Who am I? Do I have a purpose? Is there anything, like, I can do besides this?’”
Willow released “Whip My Hair” in 2010 at the age of 9.
“After the tour and the promotion and all of that, they wanted me to finish my album,” Willow added. “And I was like — I’m not gonna do that. And after all of that kinda settled down and it was like a kind of lull, I was just listening to a lot of dark music, and it was just so crazy and I was just like plunged into this black hole, and I was, like, cutting myself.”
