*Reality TV star Quad Webb-Lunceford says serving as co-host of TV One’s “Sister Circle,” allows her to do the one thing she finds most challenging to do on her “Married to Medicine” series: Be Herself.
Quad joins a dynamic team of women on “Sister Circle” that includes Syleena Johnson, a Grammy-award nominated singer and “R&B Divas” TV star; Rashan Ali, TV Host, sports reporter and radio show host; and Kiana Dancie, a stand-up comedienne, radio personality and actress. As hosts of the daytime talk show, these four women aim to empower and inspire African-American women through their insights on relationships, parenting, fitness, personal finances, the latest trends and the joys and frustrations of everyday life.
As the breakout star on “Married To Medicine,” Quad noted during a media teleconference the ways in which the Sister Circle platform has impacted her life and career.
“I really enjoy Sister Circle for a multitude of reasons. It is the polar opposite to Married to Medicine. I love and am so grateful for it because it allows me to show who I am. A lot of times, on reality tv, you have 6 or 7 different women, including their families, and everyone is trying to get their story told and so you only see a small snippet of who that individual is. The platforms are completely different. Sister Circle is truly about sisterhood,” she explained.

“When you get shows like Married to Medicine, Real Housewives of Atlanta, even the Real World, that was one of the very early (reality tv) shows and we really didn’t understand the concept then and we most definitely didn’t understand the platform. I’m in full understanding now,” Quad added.
“I am grateful for having the opportunity with Married to Medicine, however, those shows are predicated upon drama and controversy and how you’re going to respond in a challenging environment. So while we see who the individual may be in that moment, we have to remember it’s just that moment. I think a lot of times that’s lost or misconstrued.”
“Sister Circle” features interviews with celebrity guests and expert opinions on key and relevant issues, and it also offers multiple ways for the audience to engage in the program, including a live, interactive polling app, which will help drive discussion across social media 24/7.

“What I love about Sister Circle is, again, I’m able to be my openly loving self at all times. No one here has anything to gain except to be able to put positivity out into the world and uplift our race and bring some awareness to other races that may not know how much we have in common. This is one of the reasons why I’m extremely grateful that I have Sister Circle because it does show who I am in my totality,” said Quad.
Fans of “Married To Medicine” know Ms. Quad has faced challenges with both her personal and social life. So we asked her how sharing the “Sister Circle” space has inspired her to bring change in areas of her life that she felt needed to be ex-examined.
“I’ll you this, the platform at Sister Circle allows me to let my guard down and allows me to completely trust. Where I know with Married to Medicine, at times, all those things may not be true, or people may not really feel a certain way about you. People will do things for money, and with that, it’s very challenging for me to have something real. Although I seek it,” she explained.
“I think there’s a lot of great women over at Married to Medicine, and I’m still with them going into Season 6. With all of my challenges that I’ve had in my personal life, I must admit, due to the platform and the environment, it’s just not conducive for anyone, not just myself, to completely let their guards down. That has been the one thing that I have been allowed to do freely with Sister Circle.”
