Roseanne Roundup: Marlon Wayans Says Next Gig will be KKK, Trump Tweets and Ambien Responds

*Speaking with TMZ regarding Roseanne Barr‘s racism, Marlon Wayans says incidents of racism are becoming a new norm in the “era” we live under.

“In this Trump era, people feel like ‘hey racism is back,’” Wayans said after being asked why Barr would make such remarks.

OIn the other hand, Wayans points out the good coming out of the situation.

“Here’s the beauty of the show getting canceled,” he said. “My show comes out June 14th, and I’m just so happy the competition is gone.”

Barr’s sitcom drew huge ratings for ABC following its return after two decades. President Trump gave praise to the reboot during a rally speech in March. However, high ratings weren’t enough from ABC canceling the show after Barr tweeted that Valerie Jarrett, a former Barack Obama aide, looked like the “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.”

However, according to Wayans, Barr’s recent racist outburst won’t stop her from making money.

“Apparently, she’s going to get a lot of corporate gigs,” he said. “The KKK has a lot of gatherings. She’s gonna go there and kill. They’re gonna laugh their hoods off.”

Good one, Marlon. Good one. 🙂

OK, let’s turn to the orange turd in the White House. Since his tweets trashing fellow Repubs Trey Gowdy and Jeff Sessions were being completely overshadowed on the morning news cycle by talk of Roseanne Barr’s show cancellation and the Ambien she blamed, Trump has finally spoken on the cancellation of “Roseanne” by ABC:

“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne,” the president tweeted.

“Gee he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?” Trump added, in the third person.

He’s referring to Jarrett’s remark on MSNBC during a Tuesday night town hall about racism in America, in which she revealed Disney CEO Robert Iger had called her before ABC announced it was pulling its comedy hit.

“He called me and he apologized. He said he had zero tolerance for that sort of racist, bigoted comment, and he wanted me to know before h made it public he was canceling the show,” she told MSNBC panelists.

Ever since Roseanne tweeted that the drug “Ambien” was responsible for making her say those racist thing about Valerie Jarret, you can best believe the brand has been trending for most of the day.

However, the subject got even hotter when the the drug’s manufacturer, Sanofi, decided to join the fun.

“People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world,” Sanofi US tweeted this morning. “While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.”

Oh, damn. Snap!

Roseanne tried to save face …

But she just couldn’t hang in the face of some damn good Ambien tweets.
