*Apple has a new flip phone in the works that is scheduled for release in 2020. The product could be a stylish upgrade to celebrities who are making the switch to the old school phone to avoid privacy invasion by government officials, law enforcement or Facebook.com.

As noted by sandrarose.com, billionaire Warren Buffet relies on a flip phone, so does Rihanna, actors Keanu Reeves (above), Daniel Day-Lewis, and NFL quarterback Andrew Luck, among others.

“With a smartphone, you spend so much time texting, talking, in constant communication, that you don’t have time to do anything else,” said Brooklyn painter Roman Cochet. “I’m way more focused now on what I’m doing. I’m less distracted.”

Manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Kyocera, and Motorola are meeting the demand for old-fashioned phones by developing flip phones for consumers who wish to ditch their smartphones amid privacy fears.

According to Elite Daily, “back in October 2017, it was reported that Apple had contacted LG to assist them in the production of a foldable phone, according to The Investor. An LG task force was reportedly created “to develop a foldable OLED screen for the new iPhone model.”

“What would a foldable iPhone look like? It could mimic 2017’s ZTE Axon M, which has two screens that open like a book. Or it could take on a new design entirely — perhaps a single, foldable internal screen that flexes and bends,” per cnet.com.

“Flip phones are in high demand because they don’t connect to the Internet. All smartphones collect your personal information and location even if you rarely use Wi-Fi, your personal data is sent to a server when you update your phone,” per Sandra Rose.

“Your personal information is then sold to corporations, advertisers and even foreign governments.”

“This is legal because you “opted in” to have your personal data collected when you set up your smartphone or when you downloaded social media apps.”
