Samuel L. Jackson, Craig T. Nelson & Cast Talk ‘Incredibles 2’ [EUR Exclusive! – WATCH]

*It’s been 14 years since the world was first introduced to the superhero family “Incredibles” and fans have been eagerly waiting for not only the arrival of the sequel, but curious to know the secret powers of the new addition to the family, Jack Jack.

The press junket for “Incredibles 2 was held at the London West Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, June 6 and EUR correspondent Jay Styles spoke with the cast (including Samuel L. Jackson) as well as the director, Brad Bird on the film and how he had no intention of making a sequel to the film.

“Well, people read the ending [of the first film] as setting up a sequel, but it wasn’t that to me, Bird said.” “The ending represented to me was, now the family is together and they’re getting on the horse and riding to the sunset. That was the idea, but everybody went “uh you’re setting up a sequel”. But that said, I did feel like it warned a sequel, it’s certainly sequel worthy and I loved making the characters, the most fun I’ve ever had in making a movie was making the first one. So, I was very happy to come back to these guys.”

Jackson who voices Frozone, said that he was relieved when finding out that a Incredibles 2 was actually going to happen.

“I wish I could of just told everybody in my social feeds, ok it’s going to happen because I get that question 10 to 12 times a week,” Jackson said.

Holly Hunter who voices Elastigirl discussed the challenge of reading dialogue in the studio without the cast and trusting Brad with the process.

“Well, I think we both faced off with Brad and Brad built it, thought of it you know, he’s the guy,” Hunter said. “It all runs through Brad Bird and there is an inordinate amount of trust that I think Sam Jackson, Craig and I all feel towards him. And, that happen in the first movie and when we saw the first movie and how of kind of magnificent it was, and original it was that’s a validation for everything that came after.”

‘Incredibles 2’ hits theaters on June 15th and you can also check out more of the interviews from Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener.
