*Toni Braxton and music mogul Birdman got engaged in February, and in March, the R&B songstress gushed about their relationship to ET.
“He and I have been friends for a really long time, for, like, 17 years, and it just grew from friendship to more than that,” she said. “So you gotta keep your friends close. You never know what can happen.”
Fans hoping for the couple to jump the broom soon will have to wait a bit longer because Braxton can’t seem to settle on a date.
“Y’all gotta help me with the wedding,” the Grammy winner confessed to sisters Towanda and Trina on the season premiere of their show, “Braxton Family Values”
“I don’t have a wedding date,” she added.

The revelation surprised the Braxton’s sisters, who thought the couple planned to tie the knot in August. But in an exclusive clip obtained by ESSENCE, Braxton said it’s just a matter of timing.
“B and I got engaged seven months ago, but we haven’t set a date because of my schedule,” she explained after landing a movie role. “I hate that. You’re supposed to set a date and stick to it. But unfortunately, in our business, it can be challenging sometimes.”
Thursday night, “Braxton Family Values” returned for the second half of season six and as we previously reported, a supertrailer that dropped ahead of the premiere highlights the drama behind-the-scenes that caused the family to go on an indefinite break until they’re paid what they’re worth.
Sources connected to the show previously revealed to TMZ that Tamar, Toni, Towanda, Traci, Trina and mom Evelyn were refusing to return to work until the We tv renegotiated their contracts for the second half of season 6.
The long video starts out with a recap last season leading into this new season where the women dish about Toni’s wedding to Birdman. Meanwhile, Traci Braxton is still hurt that Tamar dropped her from Toni’s tour. She also tells her father that one of her sisters said that “she was dead” to her.
Tamar is noticeably absent from the second half of the trailer, so fans will have to watch the season to see what, if any, drama she has brewing.
