Dallas Cop Amber Guyger FIRED for Killing Botham Shem Jean! (VIDEO REPORT)

*Well now, here’s the news a lot of folks have been waiting for. Here it is straight, no chaser. Amber Guyger, the Dallas police officer arrested for manslaughter after shooting and killing her neighbor in his apartment, has been fired.

As we reported, Guyger fatally shot her downstairs neighbor, Botham Shem Jean, earlier this month in HISapartment. In addition to being charged with manslaughter, the shooting triggered an internal affairs investigation.

The Dallas Police Department says it has determined Guyger engaged in “adverse conduct” and she was officially fired Monday morning. That’s obviously a change of strategy since last week when the chief of police, Rene Hall, insisted she couldn’t axe Guyger because of an on-going investigation by the Texas Rangers. (More on that below.)

In any event, after her arrest, Guyger told investigators she had come home at the end of her shift on September 6, and entered what she believed was her apartment. Guyger claims she walked inside, saw someone she thought was a burglar, drew her gun and opened fire.

Guyger was on the force since 2013. She can still appeal her firing.

rene hall - can't fire amber guyger

Here’s what we reported earlier about WHY Rene Hall, the Dallas police chief, said she couldn’t fire Guyger …

If you’ve been following the Botham Shem Jean shooting and wondering why (Amber Guyger) who shot him  in his own apartment hasn’t been fired by Dallas police Chief, Rene Hall, we’ve got the answer and you’re probably not gonna like it.

In a statement, Hall said she doesn’t “want to interfere with the on-going criminal investigation into [Guyger’s] actions.”

Huh? What? The statement continues …

“As an employer, DPD can compel Officer Guyger to provide a statement during a DPD administrative investigation and those statements given to DPD could potentially compromise the criminal investigation.”

“That is not a risk I am willing to take,” Hall continued. “We cannot let the criminal case be determined on a ’technicality’ rather than the facts. An exhaustive and thorough criminal investigation is essential, and as soon as we are assured that conducting an administrative investigation will not impede on the criminal investigation, we will proceed.”

For a lot of folks, Hall’s statement doesn’t hold water.
