Dallas Cop Kills Man After Entering HIS Apartment … Believing it was Hers (VIDEO)

*Dang, if this isn’t crazy news, we don’t know what is. In Dallas, a police officer has been arrested she shot and killed a 26-year-old man. But wait ’til you hear why she did it. According to reports, the cop shot the man inside HIS apartment because she supposedly though he was in HER apartment.

Talk about when being dead wrong has fatal consequences.

The so far unnamed officer (in full uniform) had finished her shift Thursday night when she walked into what she thought was her apartment at the South Side Flats, located about a block away from the Dallas Police Department Headquarters. She was confronted by a man, identified by the Medical examiner’s office as Botham Shem Jean.

“At some point, she pulled her weapon and shot the victim,” Sgt. Warren Mitchell told reporters during an early morning press conference Friday, reports the NY Daily News.

The report says the officer reported the shooting around 10 p.m. and police officers administered first aid when they arrived on scene. Jean was then taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

When asked whether the officer believed the man was an intruder, Mitchell declined to offer additional details on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“I won’t go into that information right now. We have not interviewed her,” he said.

“We still have a lot to do in this investigation. There’s a lot of information I understand you guys want, but this is all we can give you at this time.”

Authorities did not indicate there were any witnesses to the shooting.

“We have not spoken to anyone else at this time,” Mitchell said.

Here’s what’s really interesting about the situation. According to a woman who lives in the same apartment building, the doors open by way of electronic key fobs, with each door having its own unique fob. She told WBAP that she could not understand on the officer got inside the wrong unit.

The unidentified officer remains in custody while the District Attorney’s office and police determine appropriate charges, reports WFAA.

We have a feeling civil rights activists are going to watching this case ver6 closely and the city of Dallas needs to get ready for massive lawsuit and payout.
