*Los Angeles – Emmy award winner, and two time NAACP Image award winner, Jackee Harry, Film & TV star, Darius McCrary (“Family Matters” & the hit series, “Star”), Stage & TV star, Terrell Tifford ( “Single Ladies” & “Switched At Birth”) and actor Jay Hunter (“Tyler Perry’s “If Loving You Is Wrong” ) star in Don B. Welch’s hit stage play: “Walking By Faith, Saturday October 27, 2018 at the historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
Written & Directed by Don B. Welch, the play takes the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions, and the inner-working of an African-American church. In addition to the joyful gospel music, and comedy, Welch deals with topics usually “swept under the rug” but need to be examined in black churches.
“Walking By Faith “and not by sight requires you to go to a place you do not know, one that God will reveal as you walk in obedience. It requires a strong determination to follow God’s plan, regardless of what life throws your way, says Welch. “And I believe that we show this in various scenarios in the play.”
The play also stars: , Cisco Reyes (“Next Day Air”) Delores Lakey Stewart (“Yes, God Is Real”) and Pastor Frederick E. Howard (“Church Secrets”) Other cast include: Theresa Ford, Lauren Shaye, Renda Pettis, Jensen Jimerson, Donisha Brumfield, Celestial Johnson, Renda Pettis, Amy Holland Pennell, Randy Ranz, J.B Piernas Jr., Andrea Jones, Kalon Jackson, Lorenzo Johnson & Charlotee Tillman. Musical Direction is by Kenny Ford.
