‘Will & Grace’ Celebrates 20 Years of Success on NBC – VIDEO

*Fans and supporters of the Will & Grace revival show have a lot to be happy about!  Not only is the cast and crew celebrating 20 years since the show’s inception, but they are also embarking on their 2nd season of the rebooted show, (10th season if you’re counting from the beginning, but let’s not get into semantics).

EUR stopped by the Universal Studios lot to visit the Will & Grace set that felt all too familiar, homely and nostalgic all together.  Yours truly, Robin Ayers, had the opportunity to chat with cast members, Eric McCormack (Will Truman), Debra Messing (Grace Adler), and Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland) regarding the upcoming season and any new changes to their characters.

After a ten-year gap from the show, Will & Grace made its way back to its loving audience which was recently nominated in three categories of People’s Choice Awards; one of which includes best “Revival Show of 2018”.

Eric McCormack says, “It’s invigorating to realize how connected you are to characters.  This wasn’t just like comfort food.  This was, people couldn’t wait to see these characters again, which surprised us.”

On the celebration of the show’s 20-year mark, Sean Hayes says,

“It just goes to show you how funny time is.  It feels like 20 years and two weeks at the exact same time.”  He continues, “I’m lucky to be here and I’m very fortunate to have been given this role of a life time.”

Last season gave fans so many great storylines, including Jack getting engaged.  When asked about what kind of husband Jack will be, Sean explains that he doesn’t want his character to change too much so he might have a wandering eye (of course). But he will certainly try is hardest a being a good husband.

Fans can expect to see several guest star roles such as Chelsea Handler and a recurring role from David Schwimmer who portrays Noah, the boyfriend of Grace Adler.  Debra says, “David Schwimmer is extraordinary,” and reassures us that Noah is as far away from David’s most eminent role as Ross Gellar, as you could possibly get.

In addition to her dating life, we can look forward to Grace embodying being a feminist which was one of Debra’s requests for coming back to the show.

According to the cast there’s much to look forward to including the funny, heart-warming and energetic moments that we’re used to, but the consensus is that all of them are bringing back the same characters with little changes except a little added time and grace, no pun intended.

Season 10 airs Thursday, October 4 at 9/8c on NBC.
