*Social media users dubbed Serena Williams’ mother a whole mood after she seemed unimpressed following the tennis star’s win over Simona Halep at the Australian Open.
While the highly intense match had the crowd on the edge of their seats, Oracene Price remained calm. Many thought it weird that she offered no reaction as her daughter’s team celebrated her triumphant win.
However, Price defenders noted that she’s used to her champion offspring dominating on the court, so she’s no longer surprised.

Some Serena fans think her mother’s cold reaction was downright rude and found it odd that she wouldn’t at least stand up and applaud her daughter after becoming the oldest player to defeat the world number one at a Grand Slam, per rt.com.
After Williams wrapped up her 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Halep, she told reporters: “It was a really intense match, and it was some incredible points,” she said. “I love playing tennis and I love to play here and I love to be back out here.”
Serena Williams, who improved to 9-1 against Halep, now meets 2016 U.S. Open runner-up Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinals, per LA Times.
