‘Breakfast Club’ Host DJ Envy Admits He Blackballed Nicki Minaj From His Rotation [WATCH]

*A video of DJ Envy admitting he intentionally shades Nicki Minaj by refusing to play her music during his rotation has her fans in an uproar.

Perhaps many Minaj supporters were not aware that after her summer 2018 feud with DJ Self, Envy urged NYC deejays to stop playing her tracks on the radio.

On Monday, however, The Breakfast Club gave the “Queen” rapper some air time by playing some freestyles she dropped over the weekend on her Apple music show, Queen Radio. After they played the “Barbie Gone Bad” lyrics: “And then they say ‘You know, it’s time to drop your single’ I said ‘Noooo/ You know radio already tried to blackball a b*tch,” the co-hosts then discussed Envy’s decision not to support her.

“I thought I was the only that wasn’t playing her record,” Envy stated, in reference to her beef with DJ Self. You can read all about that right here.

“Nicki can have an opinion on Self, Self can have his opinion on Nicki,” Envy said last summer in response to her anger towards DJ Self. “But when you start saying, ‘I got hungry N-words that’s going to come up there,’ nah…You don’t threaten no DJ over his opinion. Now, if Self said something foul and disrespectful—sure. But not over his opinion…every DJ on the station better stop playing [her].”
