*Former Vice President Joe Biden may have let slip his 2020 White House plans on Saturday night as he defended his record at a Delaware Democratic Party fundraising dinner.

“I have the most progressive record for anybody running,” Biden told the crowd. But as reported by ABC news, just as his home state audience erupted in cheers, the longtime Delaware senator quickly flipped the script.

“I didn’t mean it. I mean, of anyone who would run. Of anybody who would run,” he said.

Donald Trump wasted no time hitting up Twitter to shade Biden, writing: “Joe Biden got tongue tied over the weekend when he was unable to properly deliver a very simple line about his decision to run for President. Get used to it, another low I.Q. individual!”

If Biden does run, liberals are thrilled about the possibility that he may select Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams as his presidential running mate.

According to the Washington Times, Biden and Abrams met privately in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. An Abrams insider said the meeting was arranged at Biden’s request.

As reported by Sandra Rose, Abrams suggested she might run for president in a tweet following an interview at the South by Southwest Stage conference in Austin, Texas.

“20 years ago, I never thought I’d be ready to run for POTUS before 2028. But life comes at you fast – as I shared in Q&A w @Yamiche at @sxsw. Now 2020 is definitely on the table.”

Abrams believes she is a better choice to run the country than Trump, who she describes as “racist” and “xenophobic” as well as “homophobic” and a “bully”

“I think he has disdain for anything that he considers different than the norm,” Abrams said, but noted that “beating Donald Trump is the wrong mission.”

“When you’re focused on your enemy then you are ignoring your allies,” she said.
